The refundable deposit
When you rent our gear, a refundable deposit is held on your card. Here is exactly how it works.
On delivery day: the deposit is held
When we hand you the gear, we place a temporary hold on your card for the deposit amount. This is NOT a charge — the money is not taken from you, it is simply blocked for the duration of the rental.
During the rental
The deposit covers the possible loss or damage of the gear while it is in your care. It gives both you and us peace of mind.
On pickup: the deposit is released
If you return everything in good condition, we release the hold and you are charged nothing. The blocked amount becomes available again on your card (your bank may take a few days to reflect it).

Frequently asked
Is the deposit charged to me?
No. It is only a hold. You are charged nothing if the gear comes back fine.
When do I get it back?
We release it on pickup. Your bank may take a few days to show it as available again.
What if there is damage?
We would only charge the part of the deposit matching the repair or replacement cost, and explain it to you.
