Villajoyosa (La Vila Joiosa) is one of our favourite places to paddle on the whole Costa Blanca. Its coastline hides quiet coves you can only reach comfortably by sea, the water tends to be calm in the morning, and starting your route with the famous coloured houses of the old town behind you is hard to beat.
We deliver and collect the equipment at agreed public spots along the Villajoyosa seafront — usually by Playa Centro or Playa del Paraíso, whichever suits you better. We confirm the exact meeting point with you when you book, we set everything up together and give you a quick briefing on the day's sea conditions before you set off.
Routes from Villajoyosa
South, towards El Xarco (easy–moderate): from Playa del Paraíso you paddle past Bol Nou and La Caleta towards the cove of El Xarco, with its watchtower on the cliff. Small pebble coves, clear water and very few people outside August.
North, towards Racó del Conill (easy): a short, sheltered route ideal for families, ending at one of the best-known snorkelling coves in the area. If you feel strong you can continue towards Torre del Aguiló and peek at Cala de Finestrat.
The old town from the sea (very easy): just paddle a few hundred metres out from Playa Centro and look back — the row of coloured fishermen's houses is the classic Villajoyosa photo, and it's even better from the water.
Practical info
Full-day rental: we deliver between 9:30 and 10:30 and collect between 18:30 and 19:30. The price includes the inflatable kayak or SUP board, paddles, life vests, pump, dry bag and delivery and collection in Villajoyosa — there is no extra delivery charge for this zone.
Parking is easiest near Playa del Paraíso and along the streets behind the seafront; in summer, arriving before 10:00 makes life much easier. Mornings usually bring the calmest water — perfect for beginners and kids — while the afternoon sea breeze picks up a little.

Yes. The route north towards Racó del Conill is short and sheltered, and paddling in front of Playa Centro is calm in the morning. Kids always wear a life vest — included in the price — and we recommend going out in the morning, when the sea is at its calmest.
Absolutely — it is one of the best reasons to paddle here. The rocky stretches around Racó del Conill and Bol Nou have clear water and plenty of fish. Bring your own mask and tube, and anchor the kayak only at authorised spots, never over posidonia meadows.
No. Our kayaks and SUP boards are inflatable recreational equipment and require no nautical licence. We give you a short briefing at delivery and simple safety rules; if you can swim, you can paddle.
