A small, family-friendly bay with the Puig Campana as a backdrop. We deliver the kayak or SUP board right to the cove, you paddle all day and we pick everything up in the evening.
Cala de Finestrat is a compact sandy bay squeezed between Benidorm's Poniente beach and the cliffs of Villajoyosa. Being small and enclosed, the water is usually calm and shallow near the shore, which makes it one of the most comfortable spots on our route map for first-timers, families with kids and anyone trying stand-up paddle for the first time.
We deliver and collect at agreed public spots by the cove's seafront promenade. The whole beach is barely 200 metres wide, so meeting up is easy: we confirm the exact point when you book, pump everything up together and you walk straight into the water.
Routes from Cala de Finestrat
South, to Torre del Aguiló and Racó del Conill (easy): hugging the cliffs you reach the 16th-century watchtower on the headland and, just behind it, the snorkelling cove of Racó del Conill. Short, sheltered and full of rocky corners to explore.
North, along Poniente beach (easy): a relaxed paddle with the Benidorm skyline growing in front of you. You can turn around whenever you want — perfect when you're sharing the day between the kayak and the beach towel.
Sunset SUP inside the bay (very easy): the cove faces east, so in the evening the water goes glassy while the sun drops behind the Puig Campana. The best hour of the day for a calm paddle before we come to collect.
Practical info
Full-day rental: delivery between 9:30 and 10:30 and collection between 18:30 and 19:30, right by the cove. The price includes the inflatable kayak or SUP board, paddles, life vests, pump, dry bag and delivery and collection in Cala de Finestrat — no extra delivery charge for this zone.
In summer the cove fills up fast: parking on the streets above the beach is easier before 10:00, which fits our delivery window perfectly. The promenade has plenty of restaurants for lunch, so you can make a full day of it without moving the car.

It is probably the most beginner-friendly spot we deliver to: a small, enclosed bay with calm, shallow water near the shore. Kids always wear a life vest, included in the price, and the morning is the calmest time to go out.
The island looks close, but it is a long open-water crossing and boat traffic is heavy in summer, so we do not recommend it as a leisure route from the cove. The coastal routes to Torre del Aguiló or along Poniente are safer and, honestly, prettier.
If the sea or wind conditions are not safe, we can move the rental to another day or refund you. Being a sheltered bay, Cala de Finestrat is usable on many days when open beaches are choppy — we tell you honestly what conditions look like on the day.
